Hello Patty, I am sorry I did not post an update here. I had been given an order to do no more posting and to delete all blogs, posts and comments. I later found the people telling me this, had no authority to do so. I have been posting updates all over the place, but forgot to update my own website. The lawsuit was dismissed after Laurie Janik, Legal Counsel at NAR got involved. It took lots of support from Realtors all over the country to bring it to the forefront and to the attention of those with power. I thank all of you for your support. Though the lawsuit against me has been dismissed, and I have moved on to another company, it seems that this can happen again.

there were literally hundreds of Realtors all over the country in your corner and I believe that had the rest of them known about it, they would be behind you also.

Hello Robyn, of course Multiple Listing Service listings have a disclaimer also. By what I was told, the disclaimers give a false sense of security, and likely cause some to not consider a lawsuit just by seeing them, but again by what I was told, they do not protect against violations of the law, and in this case the language in the listing was against Fair Housing Laws. Since I am not a lawyer, I have been asking lawyers a lot of questions, but it would be best to consult a lawyer to see if they think it would help.

Trulia has language in their “terms of service” to protect them. Would this type of language protect individual agents with IDX subscriptions? I am going to add it to my website ASAP.
